@greeting(Dear Professor Cercone:)
@begin(body)
	I have heard Veronica Dahl lecture once and have read two of
her papers. The lecture was good, the English was good, and on the
basis of that limited information, I wouldn't suppose she would have
difficulty teaching.

	The paper I like (and told her so) was the one on constructive
data bases. The idea was new to me and confirmed my feeling that
one could ask more of data base programs than answers to questions
like "list all members of department x who make more money than
their manager's".

	I'm sorry I don't have more complete information to give you.

Sincerely,

John McCarthy
Professor of Computer Science
